I just returned from EFIT in Virginia, and it was incredible! I’m beyond excited to share what we’ve been working on.
These announcements represent some of the biggest changes and additions in our 41-year history!
Whether you’re planning to join the F.I.R.E. Tribe or are already a member, we have something extraordinary for everyone.

The Firewalking Institute of Research and Education’s Annual State of F.I.R.E.
I was speaking with Charly Relaño, F.I.R.E. Vice President, the other day, and we were both amazed at how many of our instructors are actively conducting firewalks.
From New Jersey to Canada, Spain to Asia, social media is buzzing with more and more firewalks. I’m seeing Masters and Instructors collaborating to deliver life-changing firewalks.
This is the true bonding thread of the entire Firewalking Tribe. It transcends styles, approaches, generational differences, and teachers, from our first to our latest. That common thread is our love for the fire. We cherish its lessons and the healing that comes from walking with it.
Firewalking is growing; truly, a new era of firewalking is upon us.

FIT is our certified Firewalk Instructor Training—four packed days to prepare you to confidently and safely conduct firewalks when you get home. We have FITs around the globe, and here in the States, we have FITs taught in English, Spanish, and Bilingual.

Your Certification Has Just Become Even More Valuable
One of the gaps I noticed early on at F.I.R.E. is that we conduct a significant amount of research and development on improving modifications to firewalking and all the high-impact activities that are part of the FIT Students Toolbox.
We have our Master Instructors, with deep knowledge, teaching the best and safest methods at our FITs. And, they are even deeper in heart.
The gap occurred once they graduated from FIT.
Sure, some came to EFIT, but many were left with what they had been taught at their FIT, and some of those became outdated.
One of my Core Outcomes for F.I.R.E. is to create the world’s best firewalk instructors, with skills and heart.
And I realized that there is no way we can fully achieve that outcome by continuing to do things the way we always have.
So, effectively immediately, all students, past, present, and future, can come back to any FIT, ANYWHERE, at NO COST other than travel, for LIFE!
It doesn’t matter when you graduated, you are invited back to return to FIT, as many times as you like for life. What an excellent opportunity to come back to FIT and experience our brand new Fire Tender Certification!!

FIREFORCE
This is exciting. Coming in June, we are launching FIREFORCE, an opportunity for active students (ages 18-29) and Military Veterans of any age, to barter specific skills for a full scholarship to a FIT in Delaware. We will be looking for students who have a high level of skills in:
- Social Media Channels
- YouTube
- TikTok
- Group building
- Video
- Short format editing
- Marketing
- SEO
- Lead Generation
- List Building
